STG Presents First Annual Fundraiser DOORS 5/29, Aims To Raise $100,000.00

Seattle Theatre Group (STG) hosts its first annual fundraiser, DOORS: Opening Doors to the Arts on Friday, May 29 at 6:30pm. DOORS promises to be a fun, informal evening with great food and entertainment to help STG raise $100,000. Proceeds support STG's education and community programs, access to the arts for people of all ages, training, and performance opportunities and historic Paramount and Moore Theatres.

Greg Bennick will emcee the event, with live performances by Coleen Sexton, lead from Broadway's WICKED, Vince Mira, Savion Glover, Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR) and STG's own singer-songwriter, Tory Wimer Contreras. Additionally, DBR will perform with local teens from STG's community program More Music @ the Moore (MM@M) and Savion Glover will perform with local teens from STG's DANCE This community program. Special guests may add to the line-up as the week progresses.

DOORS will be held in The Paramount Theatre's grand ballroom formation (flat floor). Guests will be seated at tables of 10, served an Italian-themed dinner family style atop classic and antique doors.

"Opening doors to the arts is our mission to this community," said Executive Director Josh Labelle. "We strive to keep the arts accessible to all while keeping the historic stages at The Paramount and Moore theatres alive and vibrant with diverse programming. We also offer a range of educational and community programs designed to support and nurture the stars of tomorrow."

Tickets range from $125 - $250 per seat and include pre-event cocktails, hors d'oeurves, dinner, catered by Tom Douglas, and entertainment. For more information and to secure a ticket please RSVP to Aaron Semer at 206.467.5510 x 1117 or aarons@stgpresents.org.
