Pony World Theatre to Present BIG STORY SMALL Series, 5/10-12

With Big Story Small, Pony World Theatre distills a collection of classic plays into potent, short works. In the company's second installment of Big Story Small, eight "new" plays have been adapted by local writers and will perform three nights only, May 10, 11, and 12 at 8pm at Theatre Off Jackson. The collection is staged with the assistance of puppets, shadows, a tiny orchard, animation, and more. Big Story Small is produced in association with Theatre Off Jackson.

This current anthology includes:

  • Medea, originally by Euripides, adapted by Gavin Cummins
  • The Cherry Orchard, originally by Anton Chekhov, adapted by BrenDan Healy
  • Playboy of the Western World, originally by J.M. Synge, adapted by Scott Herman
  • State of Siege, originally by Albert Camus, adapted by Pony World Theatre
  • St. Joan, originally by George Bernard Shaw, adapted by Kelleen Conway Blanchard
  • Mother Courage, originally by Bertolt Brecht, adapted by Lucy Winfield
  • Rhinoceros, originally by Eugene Ionesco, adapted by Webster Crowell
  • Waiting for Godot, originally by Samuel Beckett, adapted by Shawn Belyea

Tickets range from $12 for students and seniors to $15 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at Brown Paper Tickets. Members of the press can contact press@ponyworld.org for reviewers' tickets or to watch an advanced press preview May 6th.

Pony World Theatre is an Associated Program of Shunpike.
