Pony World Theatre Presents THE CHRISTIANS

Pony World Theatre presents the Obie Award-winning The Christians by Lucas Hnath in actual churches throughout the Seattle area this October!

In this exciting, site specific production, Pony World Theatre brings this smash hit play to audiences in a way it's never been seen before! The Christians is set in a church, unraveling its story as though it occurs during a service. Directed by Leah Adcock-Starr, this production brings theatre to Seattle neighborhoods by performing in three local churches in three different neighborhoods.

The Christians tells the story of a church led by Pastor Paul and his wife, Elizabeth. It has grown from humble beginnings to include a large sanctuary, classrooms, a coffee shop, escalators, and a baptismal font as big as a swimming pool. But during a service, Pastor Paul delivers a surprise message that creates a schism in the congregation. Community, friendships, and even the marriage of Paul and Elizabeth are at risk of breaking forever. Winner of the Kesselring Prize and Obie Award, The Christians asks the most important question of our times: "Can we still love each other if we hold different beliefs?

ALL Audiences are invited to experience this unique performance in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. The Christians, presented by Pony World Theatre, will feature real choirs in the performances! The cast is comprised of local beloved actors Evan Whitfield (Pastor Paul), Sunam Ellis (Elizabeth), Fune Tautala (Pastor Joshua), Pilar O'Connell (Congregant Jenny), and Mark Fullerton (Elder Jay).

Pony World Theatre is also proud to announce that for the second weekend of performances (October 11 - 13), we are partnering with Plymouth Congregational Church to raise funds for Lambert House, the leading LGBTQ youth resource center in the Pacific Northwest. Half of all ticket sales will be donated to Lambert House.
