Seattle Shakespeare Company is proud to announce their new production of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST by Oscar Wilde. The production, directed by Victor Pappas, will run Friday, March 21 through Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Center Theatre at Seattle Center. Scroll down to see some exclusive photos from the production!

Oscar Wilde's outlandish masterpiece is one of the cleverest comedies in the English language. Dapper Jack Worthing and Algernon, his compatriot in cavorting, have fallen for two ladies who have their hearts set on marrying a man named Ernest. In order to pursue the romance, both men concoct an elaborate deception which leads to an even more outlandish surprise when the formidable Lady Bracknell starts sleuthing about for the far-fetched truth.

The Importance of Being Earnest will run Wednesdays-Fridays at 7:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are $25 for previews, $39 for Thursdays, Sundays, and Sunday matinees, $29 for Wednesday evenings and Saturday matiness, and $43 for Fridays and Saturdays. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets at $20-$23 per person. To purchase tickets, call (206) 733-8222 or visit www.seattleshakespeare.org for tickets and information.
