Photo Flash: First Look at NOISES OFF at Lakewood Playhouse

The Lakewood Playhouse presents the fifth show of its 77th season, its debut presentation of the famous comedy farce NOISES OFF by Michael Frayn. Performances will be tonight, April 15th, through May 8th, 2016. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

This production also marks the continuation of Lakewood's year-long 50th anniversary celebration of the Lakewood Playhouse Theatre. From TAMING OF THE SHREW in its first year to AVENUE Q at the end of this season, Lakewood will have presented over 300 Productions at the venue that was first built in 1965 by the Lakewood Arts Foundation.

NOISES OFF is directed by Lakewood Playhouse Managing Artistic Director JOHN MUNN. His past shows at the Lakewood Playhouse include the hit comedies THE 39 STEPS and MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT.

The production features a large cast, filled with a number of returning actors from previous shows and some brand new performers, including: SHELLEIGH FERGUSON (Dotty), GARY CHAMBERS (Gary), JENNIFER DAVY (Brooke), ANA BURY (Poppy), JIM ROGERS (Freddie), DIANA GEORGE (Belinda), STEVE TARRY (Selsdon) and introducing JONATHAN BILL (Lloyd) and NICK FITZGERALD (Tim).

Called the funniest farce ever written, NOISES OFF presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing's On. Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play.
