New Century Theatre Company (NCTC) ends its 2017 10th Anniversary Season with Will Eno's The Realistic Joneses. The Realistic Joneses will run June 1-July 1, 2017 (opening night is June 9, 2017). Single tickets ($15-$40) are available for purchase online now at www.wearenctc.org.

In Will Eno's The Realistic Joneses, we meet Bob and Jennifer and their new neighbors, John and Pony, two suburban couples who have even more in common than their identical homes and their shared last names. As their relationships begin to irrevocably intertwine, the Joneses must decide between their idyllic fantasies and their imperfect realities.

"The Realistic Joneses is a play about our need for connection," says NCTC Artistic Director Darragh Kennan. "In so many ways, it is essential now more than ever to tell this story, as many in our community are searching for an escape. This play beautifully expresses an existential angst, the yearning we all have when we reach a certain age. It is funny and poetic, and I feel it is in our wheelhouse as a company." The production will be directed by Seattle-based director, actor, writer, and solo performer Paul Budraitis.

The Realistic Joneses features Company Members Sunam Ellis as Jennifer, Brenda Joyner as Pony, Peter Dylan O'Connor as John, and Evan Whitfield as Bob. The design team features work by Andrea Bryn Bush (Scenic Design), Michael Notestine (Costume Design), Evan Christian Anderson (Lighting Design), Johanna Melamed (Sound Design), and Robin Macartney (Props Design).

NCTC was founded in 2008 by a group of actors who felt there were stories not being told on the Seattle stage and who wanted to reclaim the actor's voice in the rehearsal room. Today, we are a family of actors, designers, and stage managers who all contribute to choosing, creating, and implementing the theatre we produce. We look for plays that push us to engage with the changing city we live in, and we aim to inspire other theatre artists in Seattle to produce the theatre they want to see and tell the stories that are meaningful to them.

NCTC Company Members include Emily Chisholm, Sunam Ellis, Ruth Eitemiller, Bradford Farwell, Keiko Green, Brenda Joyner, Darragh Kennan, Conner Neddersen, Peter Dylan O'Connor, Emma Pihl, Pete Rush, Betsy Schwartz, MJ Sieber, Andrew D. Smith, Jen Taylor, Victoria Thompson, and Evan Whitfield.

NCTC Affiliate Artists include Hans Altwies, Colin Byrne, Ray Gonzales, Geoff Korf, John Langs, Kimberly Newton, Michael Patten, Paul Morgan Stetler, Amy Thone, Stephanie Timm, and Rob Witmer.

NCTC Staff include Artistic Director Darragh Kennan, Interim Managing Director Danielle Franich, Associate Artistic Director MJ Sieber, Production Manager Ruth Eitemiller, and Marketing Coordinator Noelle McCabe.
