Pike Place Market venue will also host Improv Happy Hour and the closing night of BESTSELLERS.
Unexpected Productions is presenting a weekend of live improv shows at its Pike Place Market venue in Seattle, featuring Improv Happy Hour, Rebel Frequencies: Hope is Contagious, Seattle Theatresports, and the closing night of Bestsellers: An Improvised Book Club Comedy.
Improv Happy Hour
Fri. & Sat. | 6:00 pm
A fast, funny, completely made-up comedy show inspired by audience suggestions.
Rebel Frequencies: Hope is Contagious (Opening Weekend)
Fri. & Sat. | 7:30 pm
An improvised dramedy about finding connection, hope, and a little humanity when the world feels like it's falling apart. Inspired by shows and games like Severance, Andor, and Murderbot, every performance creates a brand-new world filled with strange systems, unlikely rebels, big choices, and unexpected laughs.
Seattle Theatresports
Fri. & Sat. | 9:30 pm
A fast, competitive improv where teams battle for laughs, points, and bragging rights, all fueled by audience suggestions. Audiences can cheer their favorites, boo the judges, and watch every scene get created on the spot in Seattle's improv showdown.
Bestsellers: An Improvised Book Club Comedy (Closing Night)
Fri. & Sat. | 9:30 pm
Improvisers bring a never-before-written book to life before the audience's eyes. Inspired by audience suggestions, they create characters, twists, drama, and laughs as they explore the pages of a bestseller that doesn't exist yet.
Festival Unexpected
An immersive week-long improv festival brings performers together for workshops, shows, and community with acclaimed guest teachers. This year, the festival explores subtext and staging, helping improvisers create richer, more physical, theatrical, and emotionally alive scenes.
Unexpected Productions is supported, in part, by 4Culture and Seattle Office of Arts and Culture.
