Neil Simon's LOST IN YONKERS will close at the Everett Performing Arts Center on March 28th, 2010.

The production will be directed by Next to Normal's Tony-award winning Brian Yorkey. Prior to bringing Next to Normal to Broadway, Yorkey was affiliated with Village Theatre, where he began as a KidStage student and eventually progressed to a six-year tenure as associate artistic director. Five musicals written by Yorkey - FUNNY PAGES (1993), MAKING TRACKS (2002), THE WEDDING BANQUET (2003), PLAY IT BY HEART (2005), and A PERFECT FALL (2007) - were staged there.

LOST IN YONKERS is described as "a remarkable coming of age story. Two Young Brothers are forced to enter a dysfunctional household consisting of their formidable grandmother, their dim-witted aunt, and their Uncle Louie, a small-time thug. As comical as it is poignant, this Neil Simon masterwork is an examination of lives in an oppressive household, with a dramatic climax that is certain to leave you spellbound."

The cast of the Village Theatre's production will include Jennifer Lee Taylor as Bella, Nick Robinson as Arty, Collin Morris as Jay, Suzy Hung as Grandma Kurnitz, Bradford Farwell as Eddie, Mike Dooley as Uncle Louie, and Karen Skrinde as Gert.

The design team consists of Bill Forrester (scenery), Tom Sturge (lighting) and Melanie Burgess (costumes).
