Neil Simon's LOST IN YONKERS will close at the Everett Performing Arts Center on March 28th, 2010.
The production will be directed by Next to Normal's Tony-award winning Brian Yorkey. Prior to bringing Next to Normal to Broadway, Yorkey was affiliated with Village Theatre, where he began as a KidStage student and eventually progressed to a six-year tenure as associate artistic director. Five musicals written by Yorkey - FUNNY PAGES (1993), MAKING TRACKS (2002), THE WEDDING BANQUET (2003), PLAY IT BY HEART (2005), and A PERFECT FALL (2007) - were staged there.LOST IN YONKERS is described as "a remarkable coming of age story. Two Young Brothers are forced to enter a dysfunctional household consisting of their formidable grandmother, their dim-witted aunt, and their Uncle Louie, a small-time thug. As comical as it is poignant, this Neil Simon masterwork is an examination of lives in an oppressive household, with a dramatic climax that is certain to leave you spellbound."Videos
