Two musicians, three composers, one compulsion...to celebrate the truth and beauty of life. Icicle Creek Music Center presents a special recital Summer Sonata featuring resident cellist Sally Singer and resident pianist Oksana Ezhokina (pictured left in photos by Keith Brofsky) on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 7:30 pm at Canyon Wren Recital Hall in Leavenworth, Washington.

Come experience Beethoven's innovative Sonata for Piano and Cello in F Major, Op. 5 No. 1, Shostakovich's witty Sonata for Cello and Piano in D Minor, Op. 40, and Rachmaninoff's romantic Sonata for Cello and Piano in G Minor, Op. 19, masterfully brought to life by Singer and Ezhokina, who, along with violinist Jennifer Caine as the Icicle Creek Piano Trio, have recently been featured for the second time in Gramophone Magazine, the world's top classical music publication, who praised their performance as "Elegance absorbed...transforming sweep of gossamer beauty...", adding to their ever growing list of worldwide accolades.

The cello, the "human voice" of the strings paired with the depth of the piano forms the one of the most perfectly expressive pairings in music. Don't miss your chance to hear these world-class musicians live in an intimate pairing in the magnificence of Canyon Wren Recital Hall.
