Icicle Creek Music Center Holds Chamber Music Festival, 7/10-24

Music and magic once again resound through the meadows and mountains surrounding Icicle Creek Music Center as it presents the 18th International Chamber Music Festival & Institute, July 10-24, 2011.
The Festival, lauded for the excellence of its programs and artistry, is directed by Oksana Ezhokina, resident pianist at Icicle Creek Music Center, and once again welcomes top professional musicians and emerging young artists from around the world for a fantastic variety of events.Professional artists include pianists Oksana Ezhokina and Christina Dahl; violinists Blaise Magniere and Marie Wang of the Avalon String Quartet, and Elisabeth Perry, concertmistress of the Netherlands Radio Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra; violists Richard Wolfe and Tim Betts of the Kairos Quartet, cellists Sally Singer and Anthony Elliott; flutist Jennifer Rhyne and harpist Jill Whitman.This year celebrates 300 years of chamber music, the "music of friends", focusing on the most popular works by beloved composers. Wine and cheese receptions will follow each concert giving audience members the opportunity to interact personally with the international performers that make Icicle Creek so special.
