HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES to Open Lakewood Playhouse's 78th Season

The Lakewood Playhouse is proud to present the OPENING SHOW of our 78th SEASON: The 3 PERSON COMEDIC Version of the SHERLOCK HOLMES Classic THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. This British import is made possible by a very Special Adaptation by Peeplykus and Stephen Canny!

The Play will be performed on Fridays, Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Performances will be September 9th through October 9th, 2016 with Special Showings at 8:00pm on Thursday, September 15th (Pay What You Can Night) and 8:00pm on Thursday, September 22nd ("Pay What You Can" Actor's Benefit). Our Ticket Prices are $25.00 (General Admission), $22.00 (Military), $21.00 (Seniors) and $19.00 (Students/Educators).

Presented in the Lakewood Playhouse's thrust configuration with seating facing the stage as well on both of its sides. This production of "THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES" will drop you right into the middle of this fast paced comedy of impossibly quick changes, comedic chaos and mysterious mystery.

"THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES" will be directed by Lakewood Playhouse Managing Artistic Director, John Munn, whose productions at our theatre include the comedies "SPAMALOT", "THE 39 STEPS" and last season's "NOISES OFF!"

The Production Features three returning actors from previous productions with each of them performing one of the Primary Roles as well as a myriad of the over FIFTY Other Characters in the show! We are truly excited to be welcoming back Jacob Tice (Sherlock Holmes), Kayla Crawford (Watson) and Gary Chambers (Sir Henry Baskerville).

"Holmes & Watson as You've NEVER Seen Them Before!" An ancient family curse, a desolate moor, a spectral hound and a deranged killer on the loose. The Hound of the Baskervilles is the most celebrated Holmes story of all, a masterpiece of mystery and suspense. This Comedic Take is Performed by THREE ACTORS (much like THE 39 STEPS and THE COMPLETE WORKS of William Shakespeare ABRIDGED)! Oh...and sometimes... it's scary...really, really scary.

Parental Advisory: Some Scenes may be too intense (and humor too "adult & silly") for Youth under the Age of 13. We recommend that they be accompanied by an adult so that they might explain some of the content to them. (And when we say "Explain" we mean: The Youth explain it to the Adults)
