So it's been a short yet productive week for me.  I only had two music rehearsals myself.  But we got through the intricacies of "Timeless to Me", "Welcome to the 60's" and "Can't Stop the Beat" and I love them all!  But I have my work in store for me.  Gotta do 'em justice.

But while I may have had a short week, those "nicest kids in town" and "detention kids" were hard at work.  Even after I finished my work on the days I was there, they stayed and belted their hearts out.  And as for those days I didn't have to be there, well, I managed to make an appearance anyway as I snuck in and caught some of their dance and music rehearsals.

Tracy, Penny, Seaweed and the gang were working out their "Payton Place after midnight" moves as well as a little bit of "Run and Tell That".  These talented kids were strutting and sliding across the stage and they both came out really hot.

And then I stumbled on Corny and the "Nicest Kids" belting out a little "It's Hairspray".  And Corny (Jeff Orton) has just the right swagger in his voice for Baltimore's favorite DJ.

So while I may not have been super involved this week, the work is being done.  I'll be back in the mix next week for some more dance rehearsals including for my duet of "Timeless to Me".  Can't wait!  And yes, while I wasn't there, I was doing my homework.  I've got all my stuff recorded onto my Ipod for my own rehearsal time.

And check out some pics I got while I was spying on the other rehearsal.

"Hairspray" runs at Seattle Musical Theatre from November 11th through December 11th.  For tickets or information contact the Seattle Musical Theatre box office at 206-363-2809 or visit them online at www.seattlemusicaltheatre.org.
