BPA Gallery Set for December First Friday Art Walk with GIFTS OF NORTHWEST LIGHT

By: Nov. 04, 2016

Join us in the BPA Gallery December 2 for an artist reception and a fun evening of art, food, and friends. Millard "Mick" Davidson's recent oil landscapes evoke a sense of the traditional American aesthetic with a decidedly local flair that delightfully complements BPA's holiday programming.

Mick has transitioned from his Bainbridge architectural practice into a full-time painting career in the Russian impressionist tradition. He strives for distinct moods in his landscapes based on his emotional reaction to the scene and accurate color relationships. Having recently returned to Bainbridge Island from Tucson and Alamos, Mexico, Davidson's paintings hang in the Pacific Power and Gas collection, the Ella Carothers Art Museum, and in private homes throughout the country and Sonora, Mexico. He is a signature member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists.

The BPA Gallery showcases regional artists in monthly rotating exhibits in the C. Keith Birkenfeld Lobby and regularly participates in the First Friday Art Walk from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Gallery hours are 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday - Friday plus one hour prior to each performance. Admission is free, and information is available online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island.

BPA is supported, in part, by Bainbridge Community Foundation and One Call for All.
