BPA Gallery Announces First Friday Art Walk 'Lost Edges'

By: Feb. 02, 2018

Join the BPA Gallery March 2 for an artist reception and an enjoyable evening of art and friends. Brian Sostrom's evocative paintings are heavily inspired by the "beauty of emptiness" and nature. He says, "The atmospheric images are not intended to communicate a story but rather create an intriguing visual poem." Sostrum has developed his own unique approach to painting. Working with acrylic and open acrylic paints on a smooth transparent substrate, he paints entirely with transparent acrylics and never uses white, not dissimilar to the approach of a watercolorist. See Brian's work online at www.briansostrom.com.

The BPA Gallery showcases regional artists in monthly rotating exhibits in the C. Keith Birkenfeld Lobby and regularly participates in the First Friday Art Walk from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Gallery hours are 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Tuesday - Friday plus one hour prior to each performance. Admission is free, and information is available online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island.

BPA is supported, in part, by Bainbridge Community Foundation, the City of Bainbridge Island, and One Call for All.
