Whidbey Children's Theater's production of Aladdin opens at the WCT Mainstage Theater in Langley on March 1st and closes March 10th. Tickets go on sale February 20th.

This show, directed by Rose Woods, features the acting talents of 1st through 4th grade students, with production assistance from 5th through 12th graders.

Woods, who is the Artistic Director for Whidbey Children's Theater, is particularly pleased with the kindness and cooperation she notices as the children work together to achieve a show that will please all ages, and she adds, "The joy I get from directing these kids is immeasurable to me."

Sage Monet, the 17 year-old Stage Manager, says, "Everyone should come see Aladdin because the kids have a great energy and it shows through."

Twelve year old Miranda Cassee, who is an Assistant Stage Manager, notes: "This show has been fun and hectic. I love theater at WCT because I get to hang out with my friends and make new friends." Her fellow Assistant Stage Manager, Libby Hawkins, adds, "Acting gives us an opportunity to be ourselves and not get weird looks. We can't always do that at school."

One of the youngest cast members, six-year old Rylie Patching, wants to invite everyone in the community to come see Aladdin because "this play is really funny!"
