The Segal Centre is remounting their hit show Titanique, originally co-produced with David and Hannah Mirvish, at the Sylvan Adams Theatre from February 2 to 16, 2025 with added Saturday matinée performances.

TITANIQUE, a Segal Centre and David and Hannah Mirvish co-production, officially opened at Montreal’s Segal Centre on Thursday evening, and Broadway World had the opportunity to attend its third and final preview the night before. Full disclosure, this Reviewer has seen the off-Broadway production of TITANIQUE multiple times. I have been a cheerleader for this show from early on, so when it comes to objectivity, I’m about as impartial to TITANIQUE as Ruth is to Cal’s OnlyFans content. After anticipating this Canadian production for months and being eager to see how this Canadian company would make the show their own, I was not disappointed! 

'I enjoy dancing now more than I did when I was younger, especially creating my own movement,' says Tanner Lane, a New York based performer and choreographer. He is currently on faculty at Broadway Dance Center where he teaches Theatre Jazz as well as Deviate Dance Convention where he teaches Theatre, Jazz, and Heels. He moved to New York from Florida after attending Florida State University for Musical Theatre. Shortly after moving to the city, Tanner joined the equity Broadway National Tour of Chicago The Musical where he toured both nationally (including Kennedy Center) and internationally (South Korea, Japan, Philippines). In NYC he is the only person to have performed as both a singer and a dancer in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.  This summer he choreographed for the Las Culturistas 2024 Culture Awards with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang and set a number for an event with Leg Up On Life. Tanner has also had the opportunity to perform around the country regionally in Joseph..., and Billy Elliot (The Muny), Bye Bye Birdie (Lyric Theatre OKC), A Chorus Line (Stages St. Louis), and more.

The St. Louis Shakespeare Festival’s production of William Shakespeare’s King Lear, directed by Carl Cofield, opened in Forest Park on June 4 in St. Louis, MO. In the title role is Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award winner André De Shields (Hadestown, The Wiz, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Play On!, The Full Monty). 

The Johnsons and 'black-ish' return to ABC with a special one-hour television special on SUNDAY, OCT. 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.

The Paley Center for Media today announced the schedule for PALEYFEST NY 2019, which will take place October 4-15, 2019. This two-week celebration of television brings together the cast and creative teams of some of the most acclaimed and popular TV shows for screenings and interactive panel discussions taking place at The Paley Center for Media in New York City.

As the summer comes to a close and co-eds head back to school, Lifetime delivers five spirited movies revealing the dark side of cheerleading in the Cheer, Rally, Kill line-up of movies, premiering between September 2nd through September 15th. Denise Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) and Savannah May headline The Secret Lives of Cheerleaders, premiering on Labor Day, Monday September 2. Four additional movies will air on back-to-back weekends as the dog days of summer wane. Identity Theft of a Cheerleader featuring Gail O' Grady and Maiara Walsh debuts September 7th, The Wrong Cheerleader starring Vivica A. Fox and Cristine Prosperi airs September 8th, The Cheerleader Escort with Alexandra Beaton premieres September 14th, and Undercover Cheerleader starring Kayla Wallace closes the slate on September 15th. The Johnsons will be back for Season 6 of “black-ish,” as The ABC Television Network announced it is picking up the acclaimed comedy for the 2019-2020 season. In addition, ABC will expand the award-winning “black-ish” franchise even further, with the network giving an early series order to “mixed-ish,” a spinoff about Rainbow Johnson's experience growing up in a mixed-race family in the '80s.

Deadline reports Anders Holm, Tika Sumpter, and Arica Himmel will lead Black-ish's upcoming Bow-centric episodes, which features flashbacks of Tracee Ellis Ross' Rainbow. Gary Cole, Ethan William Childress, Mykal-Michelle Harris and Second City Chicago alum Christina Anthony have joined the potential spinoff series set in the 80s and 90s. 

A prequel of 'Black-ish' is in early development at ABC, according to Variety. The prequel would focus on Tracee Ellis Ross' character Rainbow.

The critically acclaimed hit family comedy series “black-ish” announced today that it has teamed up with prolific designer and influencer Dominic Ciambrone, also known as The Shoe Surgeon, to customize five pairs of “black-ish” branded sneakers. Playing off of Johnson family patriarch Dre's fondness for Nikes, the five unique pairs of sneakers were exclusively designed and constructed by The Shoe Surgeon to celebrate the launch of “black-ish” in national syndication five nights a week, beginning Monday, Sept. 17, 2018. All five pairs will be included in a prize package posted on Omaze, an online fundraising platform, with proceeds benefitting Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
