SELEDKA at Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Paradise in Augustine / ZOO Playground)

SELEDKA is a one-woman political satire written and performed by Uliana Klimchuk, inspired by the cultural chasm between her life studying in contemporary America and her home country of Ukraine. The show explores themes of national ownership, freedom, and the shared humanity between those living with war and those who have never had to confront it, aiming to educate audiences about Ukrainian life and culture. The piece was developed by Klimchuk and director Lily Afghani, graduating from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and received support from the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts. It performs at Paradise in Augustine (Snug) from 17–22 August at 12:35pm and at ZOO Playground (Playground 3) from 24–30 August at 5:10pm.
