Kate Daley Will Make Edinburgh Fringe Debut With JOIN THE CLUB! A Solo Show About Sex and Modern Dating
Directed by Kelly McAndrew, JOIN THE CLUB! will play Paradise Green's Snug at Paradise in Augustines.
Kate Daley is set to make her Edinburgh Fringe debut this summer with her solo show Join the Club! A Story About the Sex You Never Wanted.
This comedic show follows Daley's journey to reclaim agency after trauma, blending humor and heartbreak to transform silence, shame, and survival into connection and empowerment. Between hookups, vibrators, and Tinder, she navigates the chaotic hellscape of modern dating. With wit and no-holds-barred honesty, the show confronts a culture of sexual misbehavior while celebrating resilience and desire.
Raw, funny, and disarmingly intimate, it asks the unaskable - like whether survivors should wear matching sashes - and invites audiences to laugh, reflect, and heal alongside her as she rewrites her story on her terms.
Writer and performer Kate Daley hails from Portland, Oregon, and made the move to New York City aged 18, where she received a BFA in Film, Television, Voiceover, and Commercial from Pace University. She has performed on regional stages in Oregon and New York and in short films anywhere that the Flix Bus will take her. She has taught theatre to children at Treasure Trunk Theatre in Brooklyn and at Oregon Children's Theatre. Join the Club! A Story About the Sex You Never Wanted is directed by Kelly McAndrew, and produced by Erica Jensen.
Join the Club! A Story About the Sex You Never Wanted is performing at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 8th - 30th August (not 11th, 18th, 25th) at 15.50pm (with a preview show on 7th August at 23:00pm) Paradise Green, Snug at Paradise in Augustines (venue number 152).
