Kate Hamill is one of the most widely produced playwrights in America today. Well known for her contemporary adaptations of such works as Sense and Sensibility, Dracula, Emma, and more, Hamill is an expert at mining the subject matter of these classic works to transform them into exciting modern-day retellings. Hear from the playwright as she shares about her personal approach to the adaptation, how she invigorates new life into older material, and her most-recent work, The Party.
