Jonathan Larson’s Tony and Pulitzer-prize winning Broadway musical based loosely on Puccini’s opera La Bohème, tells the story of a group of young artists struggling to make their mark in New York’s rapidly changing East Village of the 1990s. Over the course of a year, the group must deal with love, loss, and themselves in a riveting and powerful rock opera. This life-affirming musical celebrates solidarity and love in the most desperate of circumstances. Rent is an emotionally charged musical that captures an audience and doesn’t let go until the last note has faded.
