The 13th Annual Bay Area International Deaf Dance Festival showcases the artistic talents of Deaf and Hard of Hearing artists from around the world, including participants from Jamaica, Colombia, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded by Antoine Hunter, the festival will feature performances from ten diverse companies, including the Urban Jazz Dance Company, CDK’s Deaf Dance Beyond Collective, and the Wild Zappers. In addition to the performances, the festival offers workshops led by both Deaf and Hearing artists, promoting inclusive access to the arts. Scheduled events take place at the Dance Mission Theater from August 8 to August 10.
