In the theatre, "the show must go on," and it certainly does for the Willows Theatre Company, who have moved all operations to their refurbished Willows Cabaret in Martinez. The Willows' official name is now The Willows Theatre Company performing at the Campbell Theatre in Martinez.

The Willows announces its 35th season with six productions running January through December, 2010 at the Campbell Theatre, 636 Ward Street in Martinez, CA. The 2010 season opens with the return of the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award Winner, the musical Brimstone, and continues with 8-Track: The Sounds of the 70's, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Six Women with Brain Death, a "Director's Choice," and closes with the latest in the Nunsense series, Nunset Boulevard.

The Willows 2010 Season

January 25 - February 28, 2010 - Brimstone

Given its West Coast premiere by the Willows in 1998, Brimstone won five Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards! It's Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Eamon Dunne is finally coming home for his brother's funeral after eight years in America. But nothing in his homeland is as it seems and the girl he thought he'd lost is suddenly back in his life, threatening to drag him back into the violence and deception he'd
thought he'd left behind. An epic romance set against the tumultuous backdrop of Northern Ireland, this musical by Mary Bracken Phillips and Patrick Meegan won the hearts of critics and audiences alike.

March 15 - April 18, 2010 - 8-Track: The Sounds of the 70's

Jump back in time with us as we present the biggest hits of that memorable era. Audiences are sure to laugh and hum along as they fondly remember their favorite tunes, all in the great party atmosphere of the Willows Cabaret. A show geared to have you dancing all the way home.

May 3 - June 6, 2010 - You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

Based on the beloved Peanuts comic strip, this charming musical shows an average day in the life of Charlie Brown. Follow him and his old friend Snoopy as they meet the rest of the gang and visit familiar scenes from the strip's long history. Join Lucy, Linus, and the rest as they play baseball, fly kites, give advice, and warm your heart. This two-time Tony Award winning musical is a sure hit for the whole family.

August 16 - September 12, 2010 - Six Women with Brain Death, or Expiring Minds Want to Know

Housewife Keeps Severed Head On Cake Plate! Bambi Goes Haywire With Uzi! To the expiring mind of a modern American woman, life can read like a tabloid headline. A fast-paced, take-no-prisoners satire of life and pop culture at the end of the millennium, "Six Women with Brain Death" is a wild view of the world from an entirely feminine standpoint, told though a series of hysterical (yes, look up the word) songs and sketches.

October 4 - 31, 2010 - Director's Choice

Just in time for Halloween, we leave you with the greatest mystery of all...just what show will Artistic Director Richard Elliott choose? Comedy, musical, thriller, or drama? The only thing he's saying is that it's a show audiences will love. Look for clues as we get closer to October and enjoy our Director's special choice.

November 29 - December 31, 2010 - Nunset Boulevard

The nuns are back!!! This time the Little Sisters of Hoboken have been invited to sing at the Hollywood Bowl, and they can't be more thrilled! Until they realize they've been booked at a different "Bowl." - the Hollywood Bowl-erama, a bowling alley with a cabaret lounge. But when one sister gets wind of the movie audition going on right across the street, that ol' nonsensical hilarity takes charge!
