The Monkees' Micky Dolenz to Perform at Feinstein's at the Nikko This August

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the "Summer of Love" in San Francisco, Feinstein's at the Nikko is honored to welcome Micky Dolenz, the legendary lead singer of The Monkees, for two performances only-Friday, August 4 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, August 5 (7 p.m.).

Making his Feinstein's at the Nikko debut, Dolenz will present A Little Bit Broadway, A Little Bit Rock 'n' Roll, a brand-new show that combines his love of Broadway with his love for rock 'n' roll. In this thrilling and intimate concert, Dolenz will perform some of The Monkees greatest hits, a few rarities, as well as songs from musical role he has performed and shows he loves.

Micky Dolenz is best known as the lead singer of the 60's rock 'n' roll band, The Monkees, which originated from the classic TV show of the same name. The Monkees sold over 65 million records and continue to tour nationally and internationally. Micky has starred in musicals on Broadway, the West End, and national tours including Disney's AIDA (Broadway), Pippin, Hairspray (West End), Grease, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Tom Sawyer. He most recently appeared in the world premiere of Comedy is Hard (Ivoryton Playhouse), a new play written by four-time Emmy Award winner, Mike Reiss ("The Simpsons"). Micky has also recorded two solo albums titled, "Remember" and "King for A Day."

A Little Bit Broadway, A Little Bit Rock 'n' Roll is produced by Van Dean, directed by Van Dean and Micky Dolenz and features musical direction by Michael J. Moritz, Jr.

Located within Hotel Nikko (222 Mason Street, San Francisco), Feinstein's at the Nikko presents a wide range of entertainers from stage and screen all within an intimate 140-seat cabaret setting. There is a $20 food and beverage minimum per person inside the showroom which guests can use towards cocktails as well as a variety of small plates crafted exclusively for Feinstein's at the Nikko through Restaurant Anzu. Cheese and dessert platters will also be available in the showroom.

All seating at Feinstein's at the Nikko is cabaret style and available on a first-come, first-served basis within the section purchased. Guests who purchase the prix-fixe dinner at Restaurant Anzu will receive a complimentary section upgrade (subject to availability) and get to choose their exact seat locations within the upgraded section.
