San Francisco International Arts Festival is pleased to announce a very special occasion to welcome the holiday season and to celebrate that ebb and flow by the (winter full) moon with food, wine, ritual and song on Sunday December 3 at 5:00pm.

This auspicious event will take place at the edge of the Pacific Ocean at the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) with a full view (weather permitting) of Luna's winter ascent over the Bay and the Golden Gate. In addition to seasonal festivities, the date will include the announcement of the 2018 Festival program and serve as the organization's annual fundraising soiree.

Guests will participate in a special lunar ritual, be serenaded by international vocalist Lua Hadar, witness live action moon inspired calligraphy by Ryosuke Ueda accompanied by Shura Taylor on guzheng and classical Chinese verse and be charmed by youth members of the Ushanjali ensemble representing the Festival's family program with Bharatanatyam Indian Dance.

The occasion will also be an opportunity to meet and hear from a number of the Bay Area artists participating in the 2018 Festival, which will run exclusively at FMCAC from May 24 - June 3.

Festival Director Andrew Wood said, "We are blessed to have an auspicious date on which we can simultaneously acknowledge our community, celebrate the season and herald the important mission of our organization as we seek to connect civilizations through the power of the arts. We are very excited and look forward to what will be a both joyous and heartfelt seasonal event."

This event is sponsored by FMCAC. The menu is devised and prepared by Sorrento Catering.
