The kinda/sorta female love child of John Lequizamo and Mike Myers, Aileen Clark chronicles her true life story about being the whitest latinita on the planet, finding life in death, and learning why you never fall in love with men who act like your father (especially if said men happen to be gay).

Aileen Clark (Performer, Co-Author) was born in San Francisco, traveled the world as a child and raised by a Scottish father and Nicaraguan mother between Brazil, Nicaragua and San Francisco. At a young age Aileen developed a keen eye and ear for cultural nuance that translates to the stage with hilariously sharp insight. Her diverse cultural experiences make this play just as much about San Francisco as it is about herself. "Like my life story, San Francisco is home to so many cultures and people from multiethnic backgrounds that I feel I belong here", says Aileen Clark. "Whether you're Latina or white, straight or gay, man or woman, we're all just looking for happiness. And what I've learned while creating this show is that happiness can only be found by fully embracing yourself-your faults, your fears and your fabulousness."

John Caldon (Co-Author) is Artistic Director of Guerrilla Rep and is currently part of the directing team for the Bakla Show being presented by Bindlestiff Studio at the Thick House in June 2010. Previous credits include Third Eye: the b-side monologues (playwright/co-director), Terrence Beswick's critically acclaimed, award winning Hotshot (director), and Beswick's most recent play, Strings (director), which opened the 2009 National Queer Arts Festival. With a background in theater and film production, John serves as Marketing & Special Events Manager for the War Memorial Performing Arts Center, and has worked with Royal Caribbean International, The Western Stage, and as Executive Producer for Amedias Motion Pictures. A graduate of the SFSU Creative Writing program, John has also published opinion editorials with the San Francisco Chronicle, The Williams Institute at UCLA and the Huffington Post.

Claire Rice (Director) graduated with her BFA in performance from Eastern New Mexico University in 2003 and her MFA in Playwrighting from San Francisco State University in 2006. She now works and teaches at SF State while working in the SF theatre scene for such companies as Thunderbird Theatre Company, No Nude Men, and Teatro de la Esperanza. Her first full length play Pride and Succubus was performed with Thunderbird Theatre company August 2008. She started Ann Marie Productions with a mind to get more of her works off her desk and into the wide world.

Sunday Night Solo is dedicated to showcasing the Bay Area's most new and exciting solo artists.
