Rrazz Room Hosts CONFUNKSHUN'S HIGH ENERGY SHOW 11/18-22
Confunkshun, the legendary funk music group featuring Michael Cooper, will appear at the Rrazz Room in the Hotel Nikko, Nov 18-22. Shows are at 8 PM Wed-Thurs and two shows on Friday and Saturday at 7 and 9:30 PM, with the Sunday show at 7 PM. Confunkshun is a high energy band with great choreography, six part vocal harmonies and memorable arrangements. They were instrumental in the evolution of funk, with gold records, hit singles and R&B hits. Though they stopped playing in the late 70's, the birth of rap and hip hop exposed them to a new generation and brought them back to the stage. Their records were re-released and new albums recorded.
The band started in their hometown of Vallejo, and soon changed their name to Confunkshun and attracted the attention of record producers. Their hits remain in radio play today, year after year. Recent appearances at Mandalay Bay, Bally's, House of Blues and others have brought their music to even more fans.
