'Rabbit Hole' Digs into San Jose Rep 5/12 - 6/10
The San Jose Repertory Theatre is thrilled to bring the 2007 Pulitzer Prize Winner for Drama, Rabbit Hole, to Bay Area audiences, May 12 - June 10.
"David Lindsay-Abaire's Rabbit Hole, is teeming with wit, compassion and honesty," states press note, "Becca and Howie have everything a family could want until fate shatters the balance and leaves the couple drifting perilously apart. Rabbit Hole chronicles the family's bittersweet, rich and often funny journey through grief. But it is most of all a story of hope, reminding us of the power of the human spirit to heal and get back to the business of living about family with beautifully developed relationships that allow us to recognize ourselves in the characters mother, father, husband, wife, daughter, and sister. Beautifully written by one of America's most talented young playwrights, the story delivers both fresh and honest insight into the human spirit and its ability to overcome obstacles."
Rabbit Hole is written by David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Kirsten Brandt, with design by Kate Edmunds (set), B. Modern (costume), David Lee Cuthbert (lighting), Jeff Mockus (sound).
The cast features Andy Murray (Howie), Stacy Ross (Becca), Lynne Soffer (Nat), Jessa Watzon (Izzy) and James Breedlove (Jason).
Previews are May 12, 13, 16 & 17; press opening May 18
with performances through June 10.
