By: Julie Musbach

The producers of the RENT 20th Anniversary Tour announced today that the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning landmark rock musical will perform at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts (255 S. Almaden Blvd.) January 23-28, 2018. Single tickets ($48-$128) are on-sale now at www.ticketmaster.com, in-person at the City National Civic Box Office (150 W. San Carlos St., San Jose), or by calling 800-982-ARTS (2787). Group orders of 15 or more may be placed by calling 408- 792-4131. Ticket prices are subject to change without notice.
The performance schedule for RENT is as follows: Tuesday, January 23 at 7:30 p.m. (press night); Wednesday, January 24 at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, January 25 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, January 26 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, January 27 at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m.;and Sunday, January 28 at 1 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. In 1996, an original rock musical by a little-known composer opened on Broadway... and forever changed the landscape of American theatre. Two decades later, Jonathan Larson's RENT continues to speak loudly and defiantly to audiences across generations and all over the world. And now, this Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning masterpiece returns to the stage in a vibrant 20th anniversary touring production. A re-imagining of Puccini's La Bohème, RENT follows an unforgettable year in the lives of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams without selling out. With its inspiring message of joy and hope in the face of fear, this timeless celebration of friendship and creativity reminds us to measure our lives with the only thing that truly matters-love.Photo: The Company of the RENT 20th Anniversary Tour
