Ken Bacon Productions and Marin Actors' Workshop continues its performances of the Robert E. Sherwood stage classic "The Petrified Forest," a poignant social tale of longing, disillusionment, class struggle and gunplay.

Set in the small diner in Eastern Arizona in the mid-1930s, the play examines the lives of an eclectic group of people when notorious gangster Duke Mantee and his gang arrive and take them hostage.

Award-winning director, Terry McGovern directed the production which features set design by Eugene deChristopher and stars Ken Bacon as Alan Squire, Ariana Hooper as Gabby Maple, Wood Lockhart as Gramp Maple and Daniel Flores as Duke Mantee.

Performances continue through July 31 at Novato Theater Company Playhouse, located at Pacheco Plaza Shopping Center, 484 Ignacio Blvd. in Novato, CA. For tickets and more information call 415-883-4498 or visit novatotheatercompany.org
