The Big Band era meets the Bard in this swinging adaptation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing featuring Big Band standards from the 1940’s. Set in a captured Italian Villa during the height of WWII, Leonora - a tough-minded entertainer - runs a wartime USO retreat withher daughter Hero and a delightfully talented troupe of big band singers and dancers. There’s romance, comedy and intrigue when a jaunty group of GI’s return for a weekend of RR. It’s war all right - between the sexes - in this musical featuring favorite tunes from the Big Band era including: In the Mood; For All We Know; Someone to Watch Over Me; More Than You Know; The Nearness of You; Our Love is Here to Stay; Come Rain or Come Shine; and I'll Be Seeing You.
