New Conservatory Theatre Center Presents SLIPPING, 5/18-7/1
New Conservatory Theatre Center presents SLIPPING Daniel Talbott May 18 - July 1, 2012.
Alone, numb and friendless after the violent death of his father, high school senior Eli moves with his mom from San Francisco to a fresh start in Iowa. A new relationship with a boy at school exposes Eli again to the possibility of closeness and the danger of being swallowed by it.
"To me, the play is about reaching out. I had this really intense relationship for a long time, and that relationship—having someone love me and be there for me—was what sent me over The Edge and really kind of crashed me out. The play is about that and the need to break that open in order to start to become healthy." - Daniel Talbott
On Sunday, June 3, 2012, NCTC's OnStage Insight series brings the director and the cast of Slipping back to the stage after the performance to discuss the play and take questions from the audience about the entire creative process. All are welcome.
Box Office Hours: Sunday and Tuesday noon-3pm, Wed-Sat 1:30pm-7pm, closed Monday. For more information, visit http://www.nctcsf.org.
