National Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Recognized with Special Programming

KCET, the nation's largest independent public television station, announced today that new episodes of PACIFIC HEARTBEAT will be telecast in May to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month on KCET in Southern
California.
Season seven of PACIFIC HEARTBEAT is comprised of three episodes that aim to provide viewers with a glimpse of the real Pacific; its people, culture and contemporary issues. From revealing exposés to in-depth profiles and unexpected histories, the series features a diverse array of programs that draw viewers into the heart, mind and soul of Pacific Island culture. Episodes will start Tues., May 8 at 11 p.m. on KCET in Southern California.
The lineup will telecast as follows (subject to change): "Poi E: The Story of Our Song" - Tues., May 8 at 11 p.m.This episode follows New Zealand entertainer Dalvanius Prime, who returns home to Patea from the cabaret stage of Australia to nurse his dying mother. "Making Good Men" - Tues., May 15 at 11 p.m.
