NCTC Presents 'Marga Gomez is Proud and Bothered' 5/13-5/26

NCTC presents Marga Gomez is Proud & Bothered.  The show runs May 13 – June 26, 2010, Thursday through Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm (No Show June 25th) in NCTC's Theatre 3.  All performances will take place at The New Conservatory Theatre Center, located at 25 Van Ness Ave. near Market St. in San Francisco, 94102. Marga Gomez is back with her GLAAD Media award-winning comedy, Proud and Bothered. The show premiered in 2004 at New York's La MaMa Theatre, under its original title, "Marga Gomez's Intimate Details," and had an extended run in 2004 at Theatre Rhinoceros in San Francisco.

Proud and Bothered tells the story of Gomez, a professional Gay Pride MC who takes the walk of shame through sexual backstreets in this comedic tell-all.  Marga Gomez (Best Comedian 2009 SF Bay Guardian) shares her improper encounters with a sociopathic New Jersey housewife, a public access television personality, and a seductive but fragile statue….All based on actual misguided events during one very long Pride month.
