Marilyn Maye Returns To SF 9/15 Thru 9/20 At The Rrazz Room

Marilyn Maye returns to San Francisco in a rare West Coast appearance of the "Supreme Goddess of Music" at the Rrazz Room.

Legendary nightclub singer Marilyn Maye will appear at The Rrazz Room at Hotel Nikko (222 Mason St., SF), for six shows from September 15 through 20 at 7 PM and a Sunday show at 5 PM. In the years since Marilyn Maye first appeared in the spotlight as a pre-teen vocalist in amateur contests in Topeka, Kansas, she has received an endless stream of kudos. The late Johnny Carson called her "Super Singer." Ella Fitzgerald dubbed her "The greatest white female singer in the world." And the prestigious Smithsonian Institution chose her recording of "Too Late Now" for inclusion in its Best Performers of the Best Compositions of the 20th Century Permanent Collection.
