MTC's Annual Fundraiser Set for Tonight

Marin Theatre Company hosts Cast Party!, its annual fundraiser tonight, March 14, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the Cascade Room at the Mill Valley Community Center, just blocks from the 48-year-old nonprofit theater. All proceeds benefit MTC's artistic and educational programs. Cast Party! will feature a gourmet dinner catered by Stacy Scott Catering, fine wines, lively auctions, swing dancing and the unique opportunity to meet MTC's affiliated artists, including actors and designers from the company's recent productions.

The evening will begin with cocktails, music and a silent auction. During an elegant sit-down dinner, guests will have the opportunity to talk with actors and other theater artists, like director Jasson Minadakis. Cast Party! 2015's highlight will be a live auction, presided over by auctioneer Chad Carvey. Live auction items at press time included unique experiences like a personal season of five Bay Area theater productions, a week-long stay at a luxurious villa on Mexico's pristine Nayarit Riviera and special vacation packages featuring insider access to theater productions in Manhattan, Chicago and Ashland. Live swing music by the Mood Swings and dancing will cap off the festivities.

Raising over $200,000 for the theater each year, this annual sold-out event attracts 200 prominent community members, corporate professionals and philanthropic leaders from throughout the Bay Area. Tracy Haughton and Kathleen Taylor are co-chairing this year's Spring Fundraiser Committee, which also includes Cheryl Brandon, Diana Gay-Catania, Lori Lerner, Susan Holdstein, Stacy Scott, Fred Taylor and Beth Wintersteen.?
