This year marks the 100th birthday of Johnny Mercer and music lovers around the world will be celebrating and honoring his work. Broadway and television performer Linda Purl and recording artist Lee Lessack bring his songs to the Rrazz Room in a tribute to Mercer's legacy. They will sing their way through the heartwarming music of "Moon River," "Black Magic," "Come Rain or Come Shine," among many others, while interweaving stories of Mercer's life.

Actress, singer, dancer, Linda is well known to television audiences. She has starred in over 40 television Movies of the Week, and plays Helene Beasley, Pam's Mother in The Office. She is probably best known as Charlene Matlock from the series Matlock and as Fonzie's fiancée, from Happy Days.

Linda began her career in the theatre in Japan, where she was raised. She studied at both the Neighborhood Playhouse and Lee Strasberg Institute. Stage credits include Broadway's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer; Getting and Spending; Off Broadway: The Baby Dance; Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Linda has received six Dramalogue Best Actress Awards and two Dramalogue Awards as Best Producer.

Lee Lessack is well known on the international cabaret scene and in the recording industry. His lyric baritone and endearing persona have led to sold out performances in the US and Europe. His latest CD, In Good Company, earned a MAC and Bistro Award for Best Recording of the Year.

Mr. Lessack also lends his voice to many philanthropic functions. He is the founder of LML Music, whose catalog of CD's includes over 100 of the country's top recording artists and performers. Lessack is also a founding partner of Spot-On Entertainment, a multi-faceted concert production company.
