JURASSIC ARK Returns to Exit Theatre, 2/8-3/16

By:

Veteran actor and playwright David Caggiano plays a brimming boatload of characters in Jurassic Ark, his deranged dark comedy about faith, pet dinosaurs, The Great Flood and Hollywood. Not to mention kinky trysts, YouTube, one Old-Testament-angry God and a strangely sexy Devil.

The steamy, stormy solo show wowed audiences and won "Best of Fringe" honors at the 2012 San Francisco Fringe Festival. Directed by Mark Kenward, Jurassic Ark opens its six-week run on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in The EXIT Studio Theater at 156 Eddy Street in downtown San Francisco. The show runs Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m. through March 16th. Tickets are $15-20-25 available at www.brownpapertickets.org. One preview, Feb. 7 at 8:00 p.m. for $10.

In Jurassic Ark, Brother Dallas has a made-for-TV ministry and one majestic mission: He's hell-bent on making a big-budget blockbuster showing that Creationism is Truth! That man and dinosaurs once lived side-by-side!

But sins from the preacher's past (now 17 million views and counting) and Satan himself threaten his holy vision. Not to mention Hollywood - where studio hotshots have their own twisted take on bringing in a big box office.

Busting with its own special effects of whirlwind physicality and a compelling soundtrack, Jurassic Ark is written and performed by David Caggiano, who has performed at The Marsh, StageWerx's Solo Sundays, CounterPULSE's WordsFirst, Berkeley's Tell It On Tuesday and, of course, EXIT Theatre.

Jurassic Ark is directed by solo specialist Mark Kenward, who has created, performed, developed and directed nearly two dozen one-person shows, including his own acclaimed adaptation of Moby Dick.

Jurassic Ark is recommended for ages 16 and over.
