'JOSEPH' Replaces THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER in Broadway San Jose's 2013-14 Season

BROADWAY SAN JOSE, a Nederlander Presentation announced a change to its 2013-14 Broadway Series lineup following news that the national tour of THE MUSIC OF Andrew Lloyd Webber has been postponed for a subsequent season.

A new tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT will fill the same time slot - May 27-June 1, 2014 - in the season ticket package, which also includes touring productions of WICKED, JERSEY BOYS, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, EVITA, and THE AUSTRALIAN BEE GEES SHOW.

One of the most enduring shows of all time, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son. The first collaboration of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats) and Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Lion King), JOSEPH blends pop, country, and rock into an uplifting, "technicolored" story of biblical proportions.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including "Those Canaan Days," "Any Dream Will Do," and "Close Every Door." "JOSEPH is still the wittiest of Lloyd Webber's extravaganzas," declares the Orlando Sentinel.
