Hillbarn Theatre to Stage THE GRAPES OF WRATH, 1/23-2/9
Hillbarn Theatre will present THE GRAPES OF WRATH by Frank Galati, from the novel by John Steinbeck, and directed by Greg Fritsch, with music by Greg Sudmeier. The show runs January 23 - February 9, 2014.
Galati's The Grapes of Wrath is a powerful and deeply moving stage version of one of the masterworks of American literature. Set during the Great Depression, John Steinbeck's Pulitzer Prize winning story of the Joad family and their journey from the dust bowl fields of Oklahoma to The Farmlands of California, in search of jobs and a future, has become a testament to the strength of the human spirit. It is an inspiring tale of courage and the persistence to survive against insurmountable odds - a timeless message that still holds true today as the novel celebrates its 75th Anniversary.
