HOTEL BURLESQUE to Open Next Week at EXIT Theatre

One evening in the Hotel Burlesque, at some unknown time, a group of strange and unlikely characters come together. The Bartender, struggling to triumph over her love affair with alcohol; the Battered Woman, struggling to take back control; and the Con Artist looking for an opportunity. In a place where magic is possible and history is unavoidable, each character must find not only themselves but a murderer- before they all become characters in a ghost story.
HOTEL BURLESQUE is the third play by co-creators Red Velvet and Amanda Ortmayer that fuses burlesque and theater to create a new character driven burlesque theater art form, complete with spectacular dance numbers, elegant songs, epic chase scenes,and buckets of sparkly wonder.
Directed by Amanda Ortmayer with choreographer Red Velvet and dramaturg Christian Cagigal, HOTEL BURLESQUE features Red Velvet, If-N-Whendy, Tornado Supertrouble, Bunny Von Tail, Dee O's Mio, Devyl Mae Kare, and Lady Malavendra.
