Enjoy Holiday Fun For The Very Young At OLD MACDONALD: BEYOND THE FARM, Opening Today
![]()
Duck is getting ready for his birthday party, but, alas, his penpals live too far away to celebrate with him. To cheer him up, Old MacDonald journeys beyond the farm to a breezy island, a bustling city, and a beautiful jungle to meet Duck's penpals and collect birthday surprises for her web-footed friend.
For a special holiday treat, children from six months to three years old and their families can "sail, fly and drive" along with every child's favorite farmer, played by actress Jackie Kappes, at Old MacDonald: Beyond the Farm, presented by Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT). This brand new interactive theatre experience for the very young runs November 11 - December 23 at the Children's Creativity Museum Theatre, 221 4th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, Fridays at 10 a.m. and weekends at 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
After the holidays, the show moves to the BACT Theatre Center, 2055 Center Street, Berkeley, CA 94704, where it will play Fridays at 10 a.m. and weekends at 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. from January 12 - March 18.
Old MacDonald: Beyond the Farm has been developed by BACT Executive Director Nina Meehan and Simon Trumble, who recently directed The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show for BACT. The show, which encourages the toddlers in the audience to participate in the action as the story moves along, is part of the Theatre for the Very Young series that BACT has created in partnership with Children's Fairyland. Recommended for audiences age 6 mo. to 3 years old.
TICKETS: $15 (Children under the age of 6 mo. do not require a ticket.)
