Dragon Productions Set for Richard Dresser's WONDERFUL WORLD for May 25 - June 17

By:

Dragon Productions will present Wonderful World, Written By Richard Dresser and Directed By Susannah Greenwood at Dragon Theatre, 535 Alma Street, Palo Alto, CA 94301 from May 25th – June 17th, 2012.

Max has a serious in-law problem. An apparently happy family hurtles to the brink of despair in this hilariously twisted comedy about two brothers, Max and Barry. Feeling slighted by Max and his girlfriend, Barry's wife embarks on a scorched-earth policy of truth-telling. Wonderful World probes the subterranean truths of an American family and ultimately affirms the mysterious and powerful bonds that hold a family together.

The cast are Jason Arias, Shareen Merriam, Carlye Pollack, ej Taylor, Kyle Wood.

Susannah Greenwood, a Palo Alto native, is directing at Dragon for the very first time. Among her favorite directing gigs are Bug and Bill of (W)Rights for Renegade Theatre Experiment, Flag Day for Second Wind, and Wrong Turn at Lungfish and Over the River and Through the Woods for Northside Theatre Company. Her full length, original play Pandemonium was produced in 2008 by the Tabard Theatre Company who she'll be directing Elvis Has Left the Building for this coming Fall. Susannah holds a B.S. in both English and Drama from Kenyon College in Ohio and is the proud "owner" of two 3-legged cats.

Performances are Thursdays – Saturdays @ 8pm, Sundays @ 2pm, with a Pay-What-You-Can Preview on Thursday, May 24th, an Opening Night Gala on Friday, May 25th and a Post-show discussion on Sunday, June 10th.
