Dandy Darkly Returns To SF Fringe
New York City's glitter soaked satirist, Dandy Darkly, is back with another haunting jaunt of Southern Gothic storytelling and whip-smart sleaze.
Join Dandy onboard the infamous locomotive, The Gaybird Steamer, for the queerest ride of your life. African mythology, American industry and Deep South identity are skewered and celebrated alongside a Dixieland funeral parade of richly imagined characters from the proudly peculiar mind of this fiercely fringe performer.
Winner of Best of the San Francisco Fringe for 2017's Dandy Darkly's Myth Mouth!
Dandy Darkly follows a beautiful tradition of Southern American storytellers, Tennessee Williams, Zora Neale Hurston and Truman Capote to name but a few, and regales his surprisingly poignant tales alongside a bespoke soundtrack peppered with eclectic sound effects to create a truly immersive, theatrical experience. Anticipate a heavy serving of Southern hospitality with a side of sizzling costumery that will wine and dine you and leave you hungry for more. Ladies and gentlemen and every beautiful being born anyone in-between, all aboard!
