City Arts & Lectures will present a special evening with Cherry Jones in conversation with Linda Hunt at 8:00PM on Monday, November 27 at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco.

Cherry Jones is a preeminent actor renowned for her roles in film, television, and especially theatre.  Praised by critics for her range and intelligence, Jones has received two Tony awards for her work in Doubt and The Heiress.  She is a founding company member of the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she participated in over twenty productions between 1980 and 1991.  Jones is currently reprising her unsentimental performance as Sister Aloysius in the national tour of Doubt, which runs in San Francisco at the Golden Gate Theatre until December 3, as part of SHN's 2006 Best of Broadway series.

Linda Hunt began her study of drama at age thirteen.  She was awarded and Academy Award for her portrayal of Billy Kwan, a half-Indonesian, half-Australian male photojournalist in just her second film, The Year of Living Dangerously.  This made her the only actor to ever win an Oscar for playing a character of the opposite sex.  She frequently lends her rich, resonant voice to television, film, and radio.  Most recently, she portrayed Sister Aloysius in the Pasadena Playhouse production of John Patrick Shanley's Doubt.  Lunda Hunt has been the on-air radio host for City Arts & Lectures since 1997.

Tickets for the lecture are $25 each and are available through City Box Office at 415-392-4400 or www.cityboxoffice.com.  The Herbst Theatre is located in the Veterans Building, 401 Van Ness Ave.at McAllister in San Francisco.
