Central Works presents Blastosphere!, a new comedy about the biological imperative written by Aaron Loeb and Geetha Reddy and directed by Molly Aaronson-Gelb. The show runs from October 24 – November 22. The theatre will host a Pay-what-you-can preview performance Friday, October 23 at 8 p.m.. It is a Central Works Method Play developed in collaboration with Molly Aaronson-Gelb, Gary Graves, Gwen Loeb, Mick Mize, Kendra Oberhauser, Cathleen Riddley, Gregory Scharpen & Jan Zvaifler. Blastophere! features Gwen Loeb*, Mick Mize, Kendra Oberhauser, Cathleen Riddley* & Jan Zvaifler (*members AEA).  Costumes by Tammy Berlin, lights by Gary Graves, sound by Gregory Scharpen, stage management by Louel Señores with production assistance by Regina Evans.


What: blas·to·sphere (blas´t? sf?r) n. 1. a hollow ball of cells at an early stage of embryonic development.  2. a world of unrestrained hilarity. 

Two-time Critics Circle award winner, Aaron Loeb (First Person Shooter, Abraham Lincoln’s Big Gay Dance Party), teams up with PlayGround and Playwrights Festival winner, Geetha Reddy (Safe House, Me Given You), in this riotous new take on the fertility industry.

Blastophere will be performed at The Berkeley City Club, 2315 Durant Avenue, Berkeley.
