The guest this week on AfroSolo TV is the award winning actor, director, playwright, and educator Brian Freeman. The live broadcast takes place at this Friday (December 5th) 6:30 pm on Comcast Cable Station 76 in San Francisco.
 
Currently Mr. Freeman is appearing in Thick Description's revival of Susan-Lori Park's The America Play that runs through December 14, 2008.  Visit: www.thickhouse.org for more information. 
 
Mr. Freeman is an AfroSolo Arts Festival alumnus. He has written or co-authored more than two dozen plays, solo shows and performance works, including Fierce Love and Dark Fruit for Pomo Afro Homos, Civil Sex, about the late Civil rights activist Bayard Rustin at Berkeley Rep, and A Night at the Apollo at Oakland Ensemble Theatre, He has directed and developed shows by Wayne Corbett, Diane Ferlatte, Wayne Harris, Bill T. Jones, Rhodessa Jones and Marc Bamuthi Joseph; and plays with the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, New York Shakespeare Festival/ Public Theater, the Theater Offensive, Teatro Vision, and San Francisco Mime Troupe, where he was a company member for eight years.
