By: Sep. 09, 2009

Blessing Her Heart--Three Stops on the Southern Railroad Company appears at the San Francisco Fringe Festival (www.sffringe.org) beginning September 12, 2009 for four performances only. Tickets are only $10 for this 50-minute live theatrical event.

Premiering at the Fringe Marin, the one-act version of Blessing Her Heart written by Susan Jackson picked up a number of awards. A select panel of Bay Area Theatre Critics' Circle (BATCC) critics and journalists from other media outlets awarded the production several kudos: director Mike Ward took home the Critics' Circle Festival Best Director and
Diana Brown (Misery; George Coates Box Conspiracy) won both the Festival Panel Award and the Audience Favorite Award for her powerful portrayal.

When BATCC critics listed their nominations for their Bay Area region-wide awards, Blessing Her Heart received three nominations: Best Solo Performance, Best Direction and Best Original Script. Susan Jackson won the BATCC Award for Best Original Script.

For the San Francisco Fringe Festival, two more plays were hooked to the train: Blessed Ruby with Adrienne Krug (The American Dream; Six Degrees of Separation) and Biss Ya with Susan Jackson (Wit; Six Degrees of Separation).

Performances are Saturday, September 12 @ 8:30pm; Sunday, September 13 @ 7:00pm; Monday, September 14 @ 10pm; and Sunday, September 20 @ 2:30pm. All tickets are $10.
