Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT) is offering two events this weekend for parents looking for interactive outings with their toddlers. Tickets are going fast for both events.
Good Night, Gorilla - weekends, through December 16 in Berkeley
For babies as well as toddlers, BACT is presenting Good Night, Gorilla, its latest Theatre for the Very Young (TVY) production-an interactive, music-filled, multisensory theatrical experience during which children aged six months to three years can freely explore their surroundings and participate in the story being told onstage.
Based on author Peggy Rathmann's popular bedtime story about a mischievous gorilla who steals the zookeeper's keys, Good Night, Gorilla, plays weekends, October 6 - December 16, at BACT's Berkeley Theatre Center, 2055 Center Street, Berkeley, CA 94704, with performances at 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Tickets: $15. BABY RAVE - Sunday, October 14, at 10 a.m.
The first in BACT's popular series of dance parties for toddlers and their parents will kick off a new BABY RAVE season on Sunday, October 14, at 10 a.m. on the third floor of 3903 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94611. Families can groove to music played at kid-friendly volume for an hour and a half, featuring the beat of DJ E.T. Hazzard, who returns for another season of monthly BABY RAVES, through Sunday, April 14.
TICKETS: $7 for adults and children ages 1 and up. Babies under 1 rave for free.
