BWW Blog: Q. Smith of Transcendence Theatre Co's 'Broadway Under the Stars' - Blessed

The closer it got came to my departure from the "iron jungle" the more excited I became. I knew I was on my way into a 3wk makeover in Sonoma, CA. BLISS! I couldn't wait. A six hour flight from JFK to San Francisco was nothin'. Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge was stunning. The flight went by pretty fast actually. I had the pleasure of traveling with another cast member, Carrie Manolakos. Carrie and I did a reading of The First Wives Club some years ago and I was an immediate fan. I'm honored to have the privilege to work with her again.

Thanks to Stephen Stubbins, my fellow cast member from Mary Poppins, I'M HERE!!! I remember when we were in L.A. performing at the Ahmanson Theatre and Stephen was telling me about his dream- this vision he and his other 3 friends had about starting this holistic theatre company called TRANSCENDENCE THEATRE CO. The title alone got me. I donated to their cause in hopes that i could make a difference. There is nothing more exciting to me than seeing friend's dreams realized! When they win, I do too! What a feeling. Stephen came to our closing night of Mary Poppins on Broadway and approached me about being apart of the cast this year and without hesitation I said YES! And Here we are, making more people's dreams come true and taking the world on by storm through love and music. Whats better than that?
