Berkeley's acclaimed Aurora Theatre Company presents the second Aurora Script Club meeting of the season with Tennessee Williams' 1955 Pulitzer Prize-winning play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Aurora Theatre Company Education Director Michael Mansfield hosts this moderated discussion series. The focus for this evening will be the family dynamics created around health and sexuality, and appearances, examining Aurora Theatre Company's production of Neil LaBute's Fat Pig, written in 2004, in light of Williams' Southern family drama, penned 50 years earlier.

The Aurora Script Club was conceived and developed by Aurora Theatre Company Artistic Director Tom Ross.

Aurora Theatre Company continues its 18th season with Fat Pig, bad-boy playwright Neil LaBute's exploration of body consciousness in contemporary America. Tony-nominated director Barbara Damashek helms this alternately funny and poignant play that not only critiques our adherence to Hollywood's standards of beauty, but questions our ability to change what we dislike about ourselves. Featuring Liliane Klein, Jud Williford, Alexendra Creighton, and Peter Ruocco, Fat Pig plays at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley October 30 through December 6.
